A essential question, as a aspect of your Realtor marketing arsenal, is, “Do you snap listing pics yourself or do you find a photographer”?You have absolutely no clue about the horrible comments prospective buyers are yelling about your listing’s pics when they are online. You’d be depressed if you knew the amount of commissions you were missing due to the photos you took yourself. How much quicker do you suppose you’d sell that home if you utilized professional photography in your Realtor marketing? Most Realtor try to save some money and upload pics to the multiple listing service that they took themselves.Even listing clients I served said they were awesome and I thought so too until I accepted an agent job in WA a while back.In any given month, I’d have over 75 different clients and they’d all tell me their disgust about the pictures they saw on-line for the homes we were viewing. Working with so many clients really clued me iin to how bad Realtor’s photography and realtor marketing really was, at least from the client’s view point. It was hilarious, my clients would go in a house and ask me if it was the same house they saw on the web. Of course, many of my buyers who told me this felt like they got cheated. The bottom line was that the pics my clients saw on the web needed to match up with reality or else they were upset. You can’t ignore how critical a role professional pics play in your Realtor marketing plan when selling a house.I mean, if you have great photos online for buyers to see, they’ll jump to the house that minute. Alternatively, you’ll earn yourself zero buyer walk throughs if you use your $10 convenience store camera and snap the listing pictures.Worse yet, if you took images that made the home look like a palace, you know what happens? A buyer looked inside that home rather than sitting at home looking more homes. The obvious way to selling that house is having as many buyers walk through as possible, correct? The lesson is to have a pro take your listing pics and spend the $200 or so so you can make that $10,000 commission. You surely know that three quarters of your buyers are going through listing photos online and deciding to see the home or not on those pics alone. So let’s imagine you took the bullet and paid a pro to take the images for you listing…Those sellers you have would jump up and down after the house closed in sixty days instead of 9 months. There wouldn’t be any worrying about losing money because you had to lessen the list price from a stale listing. You could look like a top producer in the area because of the quicker sales, better looking listings and more satisfied clients. Your overall image is enhanced, big time! After all those benefits to raising your income, are you really going to try and skimp on the couple bucks for a real photographer? This is one of those “must have’s” in your Realtor marketing plan that you can’t ignore. You can’t deny the power of this realtor marketing method if you’re a listing agent. You have a few options…An easy option is to hire a regular photographer for a few bucks and have them spend 30 mins. taking some awesome listing pictures. You don’t want to be stupid when you’re picking this photographer, they have to get the point of what you’re using them to do. You don’t want to pay for real estate photography that’s no better than your own.If you’re in a major metro area, try looking up vicaso.com as an alternative.Vicaso started to provide exactly the type of product we’re talking about. On their site, I think it might about two hundred or three hundred dollars for an entire listing shoot that can be set up online and completed within a couple days.No joke, these guys can turn a run down dump and make it seem like Trump’s penthouse online.Shiloh Street University gives Realtors video marketing lessons and tutorials along with recommended real estate marketing products to boost their closings. Also read: Real Estate Marketing Products Critical to Realtor Prosperity

Good evening and I hope you are ready for your weekend!

I would like to talk tonight about some of the overriding goals you should have when you are in social media marketing or when you first start marketing with social media (hopefully as a secondary means).

The first goal is increasing or sustaining an online presence. The major social media sites are growing by leaps and bounds each day, and you need to be there!

Secondly, you can actively gain feedback from students using these channels. For example, you can become a member of a forum and communicate directly with individuals interested in your school. Social media users tend to be comfortable in these environments and will give very frank feedback regarding your institution.

Next would be online reputation management. Is there a misconception about your school? Is something just flat out untrue that a prospective student said because they didn’t get accepted?

The ultimate goal of any higher education social media campaign would be to increase awareness amongst your demographic audience and enroll more students. As I mentioned, these sites are expoding, and lets be a part of it.

What about some smaller goals? For example, how about number of fans, friends, or contacts acquired? Also, number of comments left on profiles is key too.

Lastly, if there is a negative, you have the power to change it into a positive, this can be huge in your ability to brand market to prospective students.

enjoy your weekend!

matt (marketmpb)

Online marketing tips can improve every aspect of your business if you get them from good sources and apply them in the right way. I cannot show you the right way without knowing more about your business, but I can give you a couple of guiding principles in my business life that I hope will help you as much as they have me.

Non-formal Education as the Key to the Online World

Signing up for an online marketing course can change your business in a matter of weeks. You can sign up for these easily, and they usually work in one of two ways. One way is you meet the group in an online meeting room, chat room or a private server to go over class material, take tests, watch videos, etc.

The other main way this is done, and now the most common I think, is to sign up for an email course. This way you can work at your pace, and you will also have a copy of the entire course work after you are done to reference over and over. I think this is a better way of doing things because running one of these courses is much easier and does not take up as much time as a real-time class. Therefore, you will have happier instructors as well, which is always a good thing in my opinion.

Tools to Make Your Online Life Easier

Online marketing tools can solve any number of problems you may be having in your online business. Need to spy on your competitors keywords, done. Need to research your own keywords and find profitable sub-keywords, done. Set up a flowing web page, blog or an automated email list to serve your customers. All this and more can be easily accomplished with a few simple webmaster tools provided to you by Google, for example, and a number of other small companies that are looking out for the small online business person.

You can find these and many other useful tools just by doing a simple online search. You can also locate a friendly forum in your niche. This may take a little work, but in the long run it will provide you with more education than you thought you could get.

Forums are sometimes the best place to go for knowledge. I suggest reading through the archives of said forum and seeing what discussions have had a lot of responses; and then, read those while paying close attention to what is being asked and how helpful people are. Finding a good forum is like finding a good school–do not go, necessarily, to the first one that you see. Look around and find one that works the way you want to work.

These online tips will help you a hundred fold if you follow them. Finding some place to learn and the tools that will help with your online business will make your business a success no matter what niche you are in or how much you want to work.

At this point, most businesses with an online presence understand the value of having an optimized website. The emerging industry of search engine optimization is providing the online market with a new way to be found by your target audience and, hopefully, potential customers. But in this time of belt tightening, there are a number of businesses who can’t afford the services of skilled SEO firms and they adopt a “Do-It-Yourself” mentality. Other decision-makers who choose to employ a third-party SEO company just like to know exactly what they are paying for. Either way, there is a learning curve involved with search engine optimization, especially because of its constant evolution with the web. There is a certain amount of time and energy required to bring yourself up to speed, in order to succeed in SEO. No matter the size of your business, or how you want to go about your SEO implementation, there is a basic foundation of knowledge you need to learn, in order to succeed online. Here are some insightful tips that can help you get started. 1. Learn Who To Trust There is a lot of advice out there, and not all of it is good. Just like any other marketing niche, SEO has some shady individuals that will take you for the proverbial ride. But, there are some trustworthy sources that will give you a quick run-through of the basics of SEO and SEM. Check out SEOmoz’s Beginner’s Guide to SEO for a good place to start. Take a few hours and learn the basics. This will raise your preliminary knowledge to a level where you can make an educated decision. This can also make the task of choosing a trustworthy SEO company much easier. If you are DIY, then it will give you a great start on optimizing your own site. 2. Learn What Your Customers Search For Google has this great resource called Google AdWords Keyword Tool, that will give you great keyword ideas for your website and business. Enter in the keywords or terms that you think your target audience and customers are searching for the most, or how you think they would describe your business, and AdWords will tell you how they are performing. You want to optimize for the keywords and terms that Google shows a lot of volume for, but not a lot of competition. 3. Create a Web Presence, Not Just a Site Did you know that you can submit your business information to Google’s Local Business Center, Yahoo Local, and now Bing Local to get found in local search? You can also start business profiles on social media sites like Facebook,Twitter, Yelp, or start a blog using Drupal, a free and easy open source platform that has tons of free and affordable themes. Check out Top Notch Themes for great ideas. The education needed to succeed with SEO can be done with a little time and effort. If you are a smaller business, then it may be optimal for your budget to DIY. But if you don’t have the resources or capacity, then you will only be doing yourself a disservice. Volacci is the leading Drupal SEO company and very passionate about your online success. By the end of your contract you will have at least as much additional business from your web site as you spend on our services… or we’ll work for free until you do. Volacci.® Your Profit. Our Passion.

One of the ways technology is changing the world is do with the way we learn. Online universities provide opportunities for learning from the comfort of your home. Indeed, so many people are interested in learning online, that there are a number of schools and businesses designed to cater to distance learners. An online degree can help you earn a little more money, and it can also help you find knowledge that you did not have before. Whether you are looking for a free education online, or whether you are looking for the tools to help you succeed in an e-learning environment, here are 25 start-ups that just might change the world of education:

GlobalScholar: This start-up is focused on creating a global learning system. The idea is to change education so that it is more dynamic and fluid. Not only does it involve a virtual classroom and distance interactions, but it also provides a system for creating an integrated curriculum, and even includes helpful professional development courses to keep teachers up to date. Originally InfiLearn, GlobalScholar is the brainchild of former Amazon.com executive Kal Raman.

2tor, Inc.: John Katzman, the founder of the Princeton Review, offers 2tor, Inc., a start-up that is meant to revolutionize education with the help of social media. Fast Company reports that 2tor created a platform similar to Facebook to help with the Master of Arts in Teaching at the University of Southern California. It makes it easy for students to interact with each other and instructors.

Sums Online: Want to make math fun? The U.K. start-up Sums Online provides a wide range of math activities that are flash based, according to TechCrunch Europe. Those who are learning at home can use Sums Online products, just as those in more traditional school settings can. It’s a great way to learn math, and this start-up also won an accessibility award from Nasen.

DreamBox Learning: Help kids get excited for math with help from DreamBox Learning, an education start-up that provides math games for kids.
Grockit: The tagline for this educational start-up is “get addicted to studying.” It’s not hard to see why Fast Company named this a start-up to watch. Grockit is one of the leaders in personalized learning. Social media style learning and test preparation starts out by assessing the student’s skill level. This allows Grockit to tailor learning for the student to help him or her improve test scores while having fun.

School of Everything: TechCrunch Europe recognizes this school due to its interesting way of connecting students with teachers — directly.
FoneFonics: Learn from anywhere with a specialized phone. FoneFonics is behind the mLearning program, which offers students an opportunity to learn via mobile phone. TechCrunch Europe was impressed with this educational start-up, and the mLearning phone from FoneFonics is in beta testing right now with Summer Arts Colleges, with a Poetry learning program.

Compatible with a variety of devices. And, if you want to sell your own work, you can publish through LearnOutLoud.

Knewton: This is another online educational start-up focusing on test preparation online. Fast Company likes the start-up, which uses test experts to help students study. This is a way to connect experts and students from all over the world, and provide an online environment for learning with a platform that can be accessed anywhere, and include live chat. Plus, it costs less than some other test prep programs.

Notely: Organize your life as a student and perform better. TechCrunch Europe points this out as an educational start-up that has potential. Notely allows you to coordinate your schedule, planning homework and integrating your schedule, notes and more so that everything you need is easily accessible. It’s an innovative approach to student organization so that all the tools for better learning are easily within reach.
